Gideon Franklin Ltd is a corporate finance advisory firm based in Abingdon in Oxfordshire with a focus on Japan-related M&A and post-merger integration. The company is seeking a part-time bookkeeper.

Key Activities

  • Entry of transactions in Kashflow
  • VAT returns
  • Annual account preparation
  • Liaison with the company’s external accountancy, payroll, pension and IT companies
  • GDPR compliance
  • HMRC correspondence
  • Company House returns
  • Issuing of invoices
  • Client emails
  • Bookkeeping for CPD, a group company

Pay

Based on hourly rate commensurate with experience

Time

  • Work hours are flexible and vary - expected minimum of 16 hours/month
  • Regular meetings every two weeks with CEO
  • Meeting in person at least once/month

Qualifications

  • Experience in preparation for annual accounts
  • Accounting software – Kashflow or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with foreign exchange accounting
  • Strong communications skills with clients, contractors and employees
  • Interest in the activities of the company
