Job Description: Bookkeeper/Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to work with our clients in QuickBooks, and complete tax returns. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable with high-volume data entry in QuickBooks and tax returns.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Functions (Daily/Weekly)
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Perform weekly bank and credit card reconciliations for client accounts.
- Assist during tax season on client tax returns.
Accounting Functions (Monthly/Quarterly/Annual)
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis to help management make informed decisions.
- Prepare and file sales tax reports with Ohio Business Gateway.
- Collaborate with accountants for annual tax filings and audits.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Associate’s degree with significant experience may be considered).
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a dual bookkeeping and accounting role.
- Software Proficiency: QuickBooks On-line, Lacerte, Excel, Word
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of debits & credits.
