Role Description
The Bookkeeping Manager is a full-time role based just outside Warwick. The role involves:
- Overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping activities
- Supervising and mentoring a team of experienced bookkeeping staff
- Collaborating with accountants and advisors to support client reporting and compliance
- Streamlining bookkeeping processes
- Optimising use of accounting software
- Supporting clients with queries related to their financial records

The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong bookkeeping and journal entry skills, with proven experience maintaining accurate ledgers and transactional records
- Experience of preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements for SMEs and owner-managed businesses
- Experience supervising or coaching bookkeeping staff, with the ability to organise workloads and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with accounting software and related finance tools, including experience implementing or improving digital bookkeeping processes
- A solid understanding of core finance and accounting principles, including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on data integrity
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-specialists
- A relevant accounting or finance qualification (such as AAT or equivalent), and prior experience in a practice or multi-client environment, would be beneficial
