Bookkeeping Team Leader

Working hours:
- Mon - Thurs: 8:30am-5:00pm (30-minute break)
- Fri: 8:30am-2:00pm
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum
Are you a team leader, working in practice, looking for a fresh challenge? Or are you an experienced bookkeeper, working in practice, looking for a step up to manage a small team? This role could be for you.
We are working with a small but growing accountancy practice, based in Kingswinford, who are looking for a Bookkeeping Team Leader on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys working with a varied client portfolio. Working as part of a supportive and professional team of 4, you will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping requirements of multiple company accounts and oversee the daily running of the team.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients.
- Processing purchase and sales invoices.
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve bookkeeping queries.
- Working closely with colleagues across the practice to meet client deadlines.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations.
- Supporting the wider accounts team as required.

Skills and Experience
Experience of working in an accountancy practice, or a multi-client environment, is essential for this role. You must also have had experience of using Sage Cloud, Xero, and MS Excel. You will need to be a strong team player who enjoys working to deadlines and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. Ideally level 4 AAT qualified, however qualified by experience will be considered.
