Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Bot Tester to join our quality assurance team in Liverpool, United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for thoroughly testing and validating bot functionality across various platforms and scenarios. You will work closely with development and product teams to ensure our bots deliver exceptional performance and user experiences. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in bot testing and automation quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive manual and automated testing of bot functionality, including conversation flows, response accuracy, and edge case handling
  • Identify, document, and report bugs, performance issues, and inconsistencies using organized tracking systems and clear communication
  • Design and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios that cover multiple user interactions and bot behaviors
  • Analyze bot performance metrics and user interaction data to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Validate bot integration with various platforms, APIs, and third-party systems
  • Perform regression testing to ensure quality standards are maintained across updates and new features
  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and verify bug fixes
  • Create comprehensive documentation of test results, methodologies, and recommendations
  • Test bot behavior across different languages, dialects, and cultural contexts where applicable
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and efficiency

  • Proven experience in quality assurance testing or software testing roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in creating and executing test cases and test plans
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple testing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and reporting findings
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems
  • Preferred: Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks
  • Preferred: Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with chatbot platforms or conversational AI systems
  • Preferred: Understanding of API testing and integration testing concepts
  • Preferred: Experience with SQL for database validation
  • Preferred: Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) fundamentals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
