About The Role

This position involves managing bottling lines at a well-known brewery in Tadcaster, with pay ranging from £14.46 to £19.48 per hour. The ongoing temporary contract offers full-time or part-time hours across rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am. Weekend overtime is available. As a Bottle Operative, your duties include operating packaging machinery, monitoring production flow, and upholding strict quality and safety standards. The role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Prior experience in manufacturing or warehousing is advantageous, though full training is provided.

Location: Tadcaster, North Yorkshire

Pay Rate: £14.46ph Monday-Friday until 10pm, £19.48ph After 10pm Friday until 10pm Sunday

Hours: 6:00am – 6:00pm / 6:00pm – 6:00am

Shifts: rotating days and nights shift patterns

Overtime: Weekend overtime available

Contract: Ongoing Temporary Assignment with Potential Long-Term Opportunities

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised brewery, working within a fast-paced production environment where quality, teamwork and safety are at the heart of everything they do.

As a Bottling Operative, you will play a key role in the packaging and bottling process, ensuring products are produced to the highest standards whilst meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring bottling and packaging equipment
  • Loading materials onto production lines
  • Carrying out quality inspections on bottles, labels and finished products
  • Packing products and preparing them for dispatch
  • Identifying and removing defective products
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the production area
  • Supporting line changeovers and production activities
  • Following all health & safety and food safety procedures
  • Reporting machinery faults, quality concerns or safety issues promptly

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG environments is desirable
  • Experience working with machinery would be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to working safely at all times
