What We Are Looking For

Position Purpose

As BOXER MIV enters service we are looking for skilled and motivated (mobile) Technicians who are able to inspect, diagnose and rectify to join our team in delivering support to the UK MOD. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing maintenance and advisory services for BOXER MIV vehicles, delivering reliable, high quality and timely service support to the customer.

Position Responsibilities

  • Conducting maintenance and service tasks on BOXER MIV vehicles at various MOD locations
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of retrofit, modification and conversion programmes
  • Assisting with the commissioning and acceptance of new vehicles into service
  • Undertake required customer support tasks in external facilities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, as part of a team or individually
  • Operate efficiently to conclude all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test activities
  • Guarantee that the work progress accurately follows the agenda
  • Inspect, diagnose and perform troubleshooting (and strive) to resolve issues
  • Produce frequent and analytical service reports
  • Adhere to company’s given rules and regulations
  • Team up with colleagues and pass on important information
  • Discern customer needs and offer advice or recommendations
  • Formulate relationships of trust with customers

What Qualifications You Should Have

Essential:

  • Modern Apprenticeship / NVQ level 3, or equivalent in appropriate discipline
  • IOSH working safely qualification
  • Able to conduct risk assessments
  • IT literate and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Driving licence (inc C+E)
  • Hold UK SC (or able to gain)

Desirable:

  • Class 1 vehicle mechanic
  • Experience as a Field Service Representative
  • UK Fork Lift licence
  • Gantry Crane trained
  • Automotive air condition maintainer

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience of Vehicle Inspector Continuous Training (VICT)
  • VICT Engineering Supervisor
  • Experience using Joint Assest Management and Engineering Solutions (JAMES)
