Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1 day per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
The Meteor weapon system is a Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM). Meteor is a multi-national program with six partner nations made up of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and UK. Meteor is developed and delivered through industry involvement across the partner nations, using UK MoD as the contracting authority. Meteor is currently integrated on Gripen C/D, Eurofighter, and Rafale with on-going integration onto Gripen E/F. Meteor is planned to be integrated onto F-35 A and B platforms and other new emerging platforms, along with associated opportunities for future production through to mid-life.

The Meteor team is a varied and vibrant Sector with a Product Line that spans all phases within the UK MoD’s procurement CADMID cycle. Meteor has numerous Export contracts running in parallel with the Six Partner Nation Programme and is actively bidding various Export and Domestic campaigns.
This role is to Project Manage all the Meteor Domestic Production contracts [currently 12]. This is a varied, tried and tested role ideally suited to PMs with various levels of experience looking to take the next step in developing their Programme Project Management skills.
Meteor is a large and growing Sector as it heads towards Mid Life. There are also various other opportunities for career development in role or within the wider Meteor Project Management team, whether it be on our various main programme Development activities, research programmes, 6 Partner Nation Programme, New Business or Export Contracts.
It is an exciting time to be on Meteor as the team grows and this role gives an opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of the team delivering change to the Meteor Product line.
Management of Meteor Domestic Production contracts from contract launch into acceptance/delivery into customer
- Ensure contract budgets are planned, loaded and controlled in line with Work Breakdown Structure
- Tracking cost and schedule adherence and managing any budget variance
- Leading Estimate At Complete inputs for all the Domestic Production contracts
- Generating and managing all the shipping documentation, interfacing with Export Control, Shipping and Customer to agree shipping dates
- Updating production metrics for inclusion in Sector reporting
- Interface into Bolton/Henlow to ensure build sequencing meets contractual delivery dates
- Leading the Common cost allocation process, working with Production to agree funding levels and with Finance at each EAC and to agree Common cost allocations into each contract using an agreed allocation model
- Leading the Application process for Company Funding, working with Project Procurement to ensure timely applications are made to agree company funding to support future expected build profiles
- Applying for approval for Last Time Buy opportunities responding to supply base declarations
- Plan and facilitate active risk management across the project, including mitigation activities
