Role: Brake Press Operator
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 06:30 - 17:00
Pay: £13.00 - £15.50+ p/hour (DOE)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Brake Press Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Sudbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sheet metal worker or fabricator looking for a long-term position within a skilled production team.
Brake Press Operator Duties
- Operating brake press machinery to bend and form sheet metal components
- Setting and adjusting machines to meet job requirements
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and production instructions
- Measuring components using basic measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Completing general fabrication and sheet metal duties when required
- Using hand tools and supporting the wider production team
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating a brake press or similar machinery
- Background within sheet metal, fabrication, engineering or manufacturing
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
