Frazer is a leading provider of specialist civils, infrastructure and utilities products and solutions. We are focused entirely on a net zero carbon future and the role we play in that ambition – working with our partners to deliver projects tackling the carbon challenge from the ground up!

We are recruiting for a Branch Director to join our new Frazer branch in Chorley (PR6 0PH)

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.

As Branch Director, you will take ownership of our brand-new Chorley branch, leading your team to establish a high-performing operation from the ground up while delivering exceptional customer service, strong commercial results and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, coaching and supporting a team of 9, creating a high-performance culture and developing individuals to reach their full potential.
  • Driving sales growth and profitability through strong commercial decision-making and a clear understanding of the local market.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Setting clear expectations, managing performance effectively and providing regular feedback and development.
  • Ensuring the branch operates efficiently, with consistently high standards across sales, service, stock and operations.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and working collaboratively with the wider FRAZER network.
  • Understanding local customer needs and adapting the services we provide to meet changing expectations.
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring regular stock counts are completed.
  • Making Health & Safety a priority, leading by example and ensuring your team works safely at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous leadership experience within a civils materials distributor, builders’ merchant or a related construction environment.
  • A strong sales aptitude and a proven ability to identify and deliver opportunities for growth.
  • Experience motivating and leading a team to achieve sales and commercial targets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Good commercial awareness, with the confidence to make decisions that support sustainable growth and profitability.
  • A full driving licence.
  • Enthusiasm – Positivity and a genuine passion for the merchant world.
  • Decency – Honesty, integrity and mutual respect.
  • Team Spirit – A genuine desire to help others, collaborate and achieve results together.
  • Pride – Taking ownership and being committed to delivering high-quality results.
