Branch Manager – Plumbing & Bathrooms
Location: East Sussex
Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits
Full-time, permanent | Monday–Friday with Saturday rota
An established plumbing, heating and bathroom merchant is looking for a commercially driven Branch Manager to lead its East Sussex operation.
Combining a busy trade counter with a bathroom showroom, this is a hands-on leadership role with genuine ownership of the branch. You’ll manage the P&L, lead the team and grow relationships with local plumbers, installers and trade customers.
The role
- Take full ownership of branch sales, margin, rebates and profitability.
- Lead, motivate and develop the counter, showroom, warehouse and office teams.
- Grow existing trade accounts while winning new and lapsed customers.
- Maintain strong stock availability, accuracy and pricing discipline.
- Manage purchasing, suppliers, promotions and credit control.
- Ensure high standards of customer service, safety and compliance.
- Treat the branch like your own business and identify opportunities for growth.

What we’re looking for
- Branch management or senior operational experience within a plumbing and heating merchant.
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing a P&L.
- Knowledge of plumbing, heating, bathrooms or sanitaryware.
- A proven ability to lead teams and develop trade sales.
- A proactive, hands-on and customer-focused management style.
- Someone comfortable working across the trade counter, showroom and wider local market.
