Role Description
The Branch Manager role at Connells is a full-time, on-site position based in Abingdon-On-Thames. The Branch Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the branch, overseeing residential sales activities, managing the team, and ensuring targets are achieved through effective coaching and performance management. This role includes developing local business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with customers, developers, and other stakeholders, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the sales and conveyancing process. The Branch Manager is responsible for monitoring branch performance, managing budgets, implementing company processes, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. The position also involves reporting on branch results, supporting staff training and development, and representing Connells’ values and brand within the local market.

- Proven experience in estate agency, property sales, or a related field, with a strong track record in achieving sales targets and managing branch operations.
- Leadership and people management skills, including team coaching, performance management, staff development, and the ability to foster a collaborative, results-focused culture.
- Customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle complex enquiries, and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.
- Commercial and analytical skills, including an understanding of local property markets, financial performance, budgeting, and the ability to interpret and act on sales and operational data.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple transactions, and ensure processes are followed accurately and on time.
- Familiarity with property-related compliance, conveyancing processes, and basic mortgage and valuation concepts is beneficial.
- Competence in using estate agency or CRM systems and common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, property listing platforms).
- Relevant professional qualifications in property, real estate, or management are an advantage, though equivalent experience will be considered.
