Branch Manager
Bristol East - BS15 4AJ
£75,000 OTE, Basic salary tailored to experience at interview stage.
The Role
Drive Motor Retail is seeking a Branch Manager to lead our Bristol East site, representing Vauxhall new and used vehicles, alongside a multi-brand used car operation.
This role requires a hands-on leader — someone capable of taking full ownership of branch operations, overseeing both the sales and aftersales departments to ensure seamless day-to-day performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Full accountability for the commercial and operational performance of the branch
- Lead, mentor, and develop the on-site management and sales teams to drive sustainable improvement
- Implement robust processes across sales, aftersales, and branch administration
- Restore performance, standards, and team culture before maintaining long-term stability
- Deliver new and used car sales targets
- Ensure strong compliance with manufacturer, financial, and group standards
- Manage branch cost control, profitability, and stock turn
- Act as a visible, hands-on leader within the dealership floor

The Candidate
- Proven experience as a Branch Manager, or an ambitious, experienced Sales Manager looking for a natural step up into branch leadership
- Demonstrated success in operational execution, sales drive, or site performance improvement
- Strong commercial acumen across new and used vehicles
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, people-focused retail environment
- Able to implement structure, discipline, and consistency across all departments
- Committed to long-term leadership and team development

Experience:
- Sales Manager OR Branch Manager: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence - Held for a minimum of 2 years (required)
