About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Insite Manager to lead our on-site operation at a key customer location.
As the senior Rubix representative on site, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of service delivery, safety, stores control, commercial performance and the customer relationship. You’ll provide the customer with one accountable point of contact while bringing together Rubix teams, suppliers and site stakeholders to deliver a safe, responsive and commercially successful operation.
This is an opportunity for an operationally strong and commercially aware leader to take real ownership, solve complex problems and create measurable value for both the customer and Rubix.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a safe and compliant operation, maintaining effective risk assessments, safe systems of work, inspections and corrective actions.
- Take ownership of day-to-day contract delivery, ensuring service levels, responsibilities, controls and customer obligations are clearly understood and achieved.
- Act as the primary Rubix contact on site, building trusted relationships across engineering, procurement, finance, operations and senior leadership.
- Lead and develop the site team where applicable, setting clear standards, coaching performance and creating resilient cover and effective handovers.
- Maintain control of stores activity, including goods-in, put-away, booking-out, returns, repairs, transfers, housekeeping and customer enquiries.
- Manage inventory and supply performance, including stock accuracy, perpetual inventory, critical spares, stockouts, supplier continuity and variance control.
- Own site commercial performance across sales, gross profit, margin, cost-to-serve, working capital, forecasting and recovery activity.
- Deliver accurate KPI, safety, financial, inventory and risk reporting, supported by clear actions, owners and timescales.
- Identify and deliver measurable improvements through stock optimisation, supplier consolidation, product alternatives, digital adoption and process improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
