We are recruiting for a Branch Operations Manager to join our thriving Frazer branch in Norwich (NR4 6ET)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, 45 hours per week.

What you will be doing

  • Leading and supporting the day-to-day operations of the branch, including warehouse and transport activities.
  • Managing and supporting warehouse operatives and drivers, including daily planning, vehicle loading, and route planning.
  • Welcoming customers, understanding their projects, and providing a high level of customer service.
  • Processing customer orders and ensuring deliveries are checked and completed accurately.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift, with training provided if required.
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels through regular stock checks and counts.
  • Supporting the Branch Manager with day-to-day branch management and producing monthly reports.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organised branch.
  • Taking responsibility for health and safety across the branch and ensuring safe working practices are followed.
  • Working both indoors and outdoors as part of the day-to-day branch operation.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience within the civils, infrastructure, utilities, building materials, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Experience managing warehouse and transport operations.
  • Previous experience leading and supporting a team, with an inclusive and collaborative leadership style.
  • A strong customer-first approach and genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to plan and manage competing priorities.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Comfortable working in both warehouse and outdoor environments.
  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of how operational decisions impact the wider branch and business.
  • A hands-on approach and the willingness to get involved in the day-to-day running of the branch.
  • A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
