Job Description

We are looking for a Branch/Yard Assistant to join us at our Longtown site. If you’re someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in delivering great customer service, and thrives as part of a friendly, supportive team, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you! No two days are the same, and you’ll play a key role in helping our branch run smoothly.

Your Job

This role involves:

  • Providing customers with product and service information
  • Pick customer orders accurately
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
  • Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
  • Serve customers on the trade counter when required
  • Customer interaction
  • Delivery of goods using the company pick up when required

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills
  • Literacy & Numeracy
  • A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
  • An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
  • Forklift truck licence
  • Full UK driving licence
