About the Role

At WHSmith Europe our people are at the heart of everything we do. They are the ones that go the extra mile for our customers, the ones that enable our growth. Our Commercial division is looking for a Brand Activation Insights Lead to join the team, and drive partnerships and growth through campaigns and rigorous reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Build semi-automated post campaign reporting using AI and BI tools to provide post campaign reports for all our supplier campaigns and activations
  • Continuously review the new data needed to evolve campaign reports to meet supplier requirements including our footfall cameras data, 3rd party sources, and consumer research tools
  • Build these new data sources into your post campaign reports and evolve the reporting framework we use with brands
  • Provide the media sales team with specific insights on our media assets to help build supplier packages and pitch decks
  • Support the media sales team with pitches to brands by talking to brands about the value of our assets and inventory
  • Support the trade planning team with analysis on cycle space by providing post cycle implementation reports on the effectiveness of our space and trade plan
  • Use this data to make recommendations for future cycle priorities and to help shape the customer plan
  • Work with buyers when planning our category strategies and run insights to build out their annual plans
  • Continuously monitor the market and consumer behaviours to build insights that support both our media and trade plans
  • Work with our supply partners to bring together our joint insight capabilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
