Job title - Brand Activation Manager
Location - Watford
Working pattern - Monday to Friday (office closed Friday + hybrid working available)
Reporting to - Senior Marketing Manager
Role Purpose
To deliver cost-effective brand activation that builds awareness, drives product trial and supports sales growth, combining strategic planning with hands-on execution across retail, events, partnerships and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 360-degree activation plans aligned with brand strategy, customer priorities and growth objectives.
- Execute in-store activity, sampling, launches and promotions across grocery, independent and wholesale channels.
- Build an activation calendar around cultural trading periods, promotions, launches and brand moments.
- Coordinate events, festivals and community activity, developing partnerships that extend brand reach.
- Partner with Sales and Commercial teams on customer objectives, promotional calendars and account opportunities.
- Coordinate point-of-sale materials, stock, staffing, logistics and assets for on-brand delivery.
- Manage the social media agency, approving briefs and content while optimising performance and amplification.
- Control activation budgets, suppliers, venues and brand ambassadors, ensuring safe and cost-effective execution.
- Measure reach, trial, engagement, sales impact and ROI, using insight to improve future activity.
Person Specification
Essential
- 3-5 years' experience in brand activation, trade marketing, FMCG or retail marketing.
- Proven delivery of in-store activity, sampling, events, launches or retail campaigns.
- Strong shopper-marketing knowledge, connecting brand activity to customer objectives and sales growth.
- Experience briefing and managing external marketing, creative or social media agencies.
- Strong project planning, delivering multiple campaigns within tight budgets and deadlines.
- Commercial and analytical capability to manage budgets, assess performance and evaluate ROI.
- Excellent relationship skills, with proactive, hands-on delivery and attention to detail.

Desirable
- A degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications or Business.
- Digital, social media and e-commerce experience, including tools such as Canva, Meta or Google Analytics.
- Experience managing brand ambassadors, field teams, event suppliers and activation assets.
