Brand Activation Manager
DEPARTMENT: Commercial, Brand
LOCATION: Stamford Bridge
CONTRACT: Permanent, Full Time

Role Purpose
The Brand Activation Manager will lead the development and delivery of high-quality activation across a portfolio of Chelsea FC’s commercial partnerships, with particular ownership of highest-level partnerships. The role will be responsible for translating partner and Club objectives into impactful campaigns that strengthen relationships, grow audiences and maximise value.
Working closely with the Brand Activation Lead and wider marketing teams, the Manager will take ownership of partner strategy, activation delivery as well as additional marketing projects outside of partnerships.
The role will also play an important leadership role within the Brand Activation team, supporting and developing Executives, driving consistent ways of working and contributing to the continued evolution of the function.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership Strategy & Activation
- Own and lead a portfolio of partnerships marketing rights, developing season-long activation strategies.
- Ensure contractual rights are delivered to a high standard, contributing to partner satisfaction.
Campaign Delivery & Reporting
- Lead complex activation campaigns from planning through to delivery, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
- Track activation performance throughout the season.
- Use data, insight and learnings to improve future activations and demonstrate partner value.

Collaboration & Projects
- Lead effective collaboration across Commercial, Marketing, Creative, Content, Social, Digital, Communications, Matchday and Insights.
- Take ownership of selected projects beyond the core partnership remit, including external collaborations and celebrity & talent opportunities.
- Share best practice and improve processes and ways of working across the Brand Activation team.
Team & Partner Management
- Support, coach and develop Brand Activation Executives, providing clear direction and opportunities to take ownership.
- Work closely with the other Brand Activation Manager to ensure consistency, collaboration and a joined-up approach across the team.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Experience in brand activation, partnership marketing, sponsorship or integrated marketing.
- Strong understanding of sponsorship rights and how to maximise value beyond contractual delivery.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Confident using data and insight to measure performance and improve activity.
- Collaborative leader with experience supporting or developing junior team members.
- Proactive, creative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Desirable:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent marketing qualification
- Experience in sport, entertainment, or lifestyle marketing
- Knowledge of international fan engagement and global brand building
