Purpose of the Role
Owns Whites Beaconsfield’s brand identity, how we look and how we sound, and leads delivery of marketing campaigns across our B2C, B2B and marketplace channels. Manages the Social Media Executive and Content Manager, and acts as final approval on brand-facing copy and creative, including work produced by our external agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Brand guardianship: define and maintain visual identity and tone of voice across all channels, markets and touchpoints.
- Copywriting: write and/or approve copy for campaigns, product listings, social, email and marketplace content.
- Campaign delivery: plan and execute multi-channel campaigns (organic social, email/CRM, content, marketplace, on-site) across B2C, B2B and marketplace channels.
- Team leadership: manage and develop the Social Media Executive and Content Manager, content calendars, quality standards, workflow.
- Agency liaison: review and approve creative/copy produced by our external paid media and performance agencies before it goes live, to ensure brand consistency.
- Insight-led content: use performance data supplied by agencies to inform content and creative decisions.
- International consistency: adapt brand and campaign content for new markets as the business expands (developing capability, not a day-one requirement).

- Paid media planning, buying or budget ownership, this sits with our external agencies.
- Performance marketing analytics/reporting ownership, agencies provide the data; this role interprets it for content and creative purposes only.
- Marketing budget or P&L ownership, retained by the founders/Commercial Director.
- Setting overall commercial marketing strategy independently, this role executes against direction agreed with the founders/Commercial Director.

Candidate criteria
Must have
- 3–5+ years’ marketing experience in retail/e-commerce (ideally with agile start-up/scale-up brands), with demonstrable ownership of brand identity and tone of voice.
- Strong copywriting skills, writing samples/portfolio required at interview.
- Proven track record planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns (organic social, email, content).
- Direct people management experience (minimum 1–2 reports).
- Comfortable briefing, reviewing and pushing back on agency-produced creative and copy.
- Hands-on and self-sufficient, used to working in a small team (sub-10 people) without heavy internal support.
- Not from a corporate background.
Nice to have
- Experience adapting brands or campaigns for international/multi-market audiences.
- Familiarity with Shopify and marketplace platforms.
- B2B marketing or copywriting experience alongside B2C.
