Salon System – Brand Communications Manager, Social Media & Community

Role Overview

The Brand Communications Manager is a strategic and hands-on marketing and communications role supporting Salon System, a leading professional beauty brand.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the role is responsible for growing brand visibility, engagement and community through social media, content, influencer activity, brand activations and key account marketing support.

The role combines strategy and creativity with strong execution, requiring someone who can translate the Salon System brand into compelling communications and visual assets across both consumer-facing and trade channels.

Main Purpose

The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and delivering Salon System’s social media and community strategy across digital platforms and brand activations, working closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager to support annual business plans, campaigns and wider brand-building initiatives.

A key part of the role will also be supporting the Sales and National Account Management teams through the creation of presentations, sell-in materials and visual assets for key accounts, ensuring all communications remain consistent with Salon System’s brand guidelines and visual language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media and communications strategies aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
  • Manage social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms.
  • Lead the creation of engaging content, including video, influencer and community-led assets.
  • Manage paid social campaigns, influencer partnerships, ambassador programmes and community engagement.
  • Oversee social media budgets, campaign performance tracking and ROI reporting.
  • Coordinate brand activations, pop-up events, wholesaler content days and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Create, execute and manage key wholesaler marketing plans as part of the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process.
  • Create high-quality presentations, sales materials and supporting assets for the Sales and National Account Management teams, communicating key product features, benefits, launches and brand initiatives to key accounts.
  • Develop assets in Canva to a high standard, ensuring presentations and communications consistently follow brand guidelines and reflect Salon System’s established visual language.
  • Support new product launches through the development of compelling sell-in and customer-facing communications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, wholesalers and external partners to maximise brand exposure and ensure consistent brand execution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
