Brand Community Strategist

Contract, 12 months
Remote - Can be based in UK/Ireland/Netherlands/Portugal

Overview:

A global social platform is seeking a Brand Community Strategist to support its Australian market. The role acts as a consultative partner to brands and agencies, advising on how to build authentic presence within online communities. This is a hands-on advisory position combining community expertise, social strategy, and copywriting guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary consultative contact for diverse inbound brand and agency requests
  • Advise partners on community participation strategy, community rules, and moderator outreach
  • Support profile creation, account verification, and moderation-related queries
  • Provide tone-of-voice and copywriting guidance for posts, comments, and AMA-style formats
  • Use platform listening and analytics tools to identify relevant community conversations
  • Translate cultural and community trends into actionable marketing recommendations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4–7 years of experience in community management, social media strategy, or agency account management
  • Demonstrated active use and understanding of large-scale online community platforms
  • Strong written communication and copywriting ability
  • Experience advising internal or external stakeholders on social/community best practice
