About Blankstate

Blankstate is a London deeptech company. We build a model that lets people and organisations experience a decision before they commit to it. For several years we have done that in stealth with major regulated institutions, including financial services, across four continents.

We are now coming into public view, including a first product anyone can enter. We are a lean, senior team. This role is for the person who builds how the world comes to know us, not someone who sits inside a big marketing machine.

The role

You own how Blankstate shows up: the narrative, the content, the community forming around us, and the day-to-day relationship with the partners and agency taking us to market.

AI and tooling are leverage here, not the job. You set the direction; our in-house solution engineers support the automations and tools needed, and our Art Director owns the visual system.

What you will own

Two fronts you run hands-on, day to day:

  • Content: Produce the content that carries Blankstate: posts, short-form video, launch moments, campaign copy, thought-leadership. Augmented so you move fast, made within the visual system our Art Director owns.
  • Community: Stand up and grow the community forming around us: structure, onboarding, rituals, and the loop that carries what people tell us back inside. Year one is about strong foundations, not an overnight crowd, and it is yours to build.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Operations and Execution:

  • Brand visibility (GEO and SEO): Once the tracking is plugged in, you read the dashboard, see where we stand, and call the next move. Own how Blankstate shows up when people ask an AI assistant about us (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok), alongside classic SEO.
  • The website and owned channels: Light-touch through our straightforward backoffice, on an editorial calendar you own.
  • One story, everywhere: Keep everyone inside speaking the same language about who we are. Meetings and notes run on automation, so your time goes to deciding, not documenting.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years in content, brand, or digital marketing, ideally in tech or a startup, and ready to step up into an ownership seat.
  • A critical thinker with taste. You can find the story, judge what is genuinely good, and decide what deserves attention. This matters to us as much as raw output.
  • Someone who thinks ahead and executes. You plan a step or two out, then make it happen. You use state-of-the-art AI fluently in your own work, with a good instinct for what is worth automating.
  • A strong writer and content-maker with a good eye. You do not need to be a designer, but you can produce clean content within a visual system and turn a brief into something that lands.
  • Comfortable with numbers. You want to know if what you shipped moved anything, and you report the insight, not the vanity metric.
  • Curious about the AI discovery layer. You either already track how brands appear in AI answers, or you are ready to own that discipline (GEO). It is a core focus of the role and one of the fastest-growing areas in marketing.
