Role Overview

As Brand & Content Manager at Acquired, you will lead brand storytelling, visual identity, and full-funnel content strategy to elevate awareness, support demand generation efforts, and position Acquired as a category leader in payments. You will be responsible for setting the direction and tone of our brand, crafting content that engages, converts, and delights, and ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Brand Leadership

  • Define, evolve, and safeguard Acquired’s brand tone of voice, narrative, and visual system to ensure a distinctive market presence.
  • Lead brand governance initiatives, ensuring consistency across all marketing and communications materials.

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Develop a scalable content strategy across multiple formats, including blog posts, ebooks, thought leadership, customer stories, case studies, and sales enablement collateral.
  • Collaborate closely with the Demand Generation team to build content that supports targeted campaigns, account-based marketing (ABM), and lead generation objectives.
  • Partner with Product and Sales teams to create compelling messaging frameworks and product narratives for effective go-to-market (GTM) execution.

PR & Media Management

  • Manage PR agency relationships, guiding them on Acquired’s brand priorities and messaging.
  • Coordinate PR activities - including media outreach, press release development, and thought leadership pitching - to enhance industry visibility.
  • Oversee the drafting and submission of high-impact award entries, working closely with internal experts to ensure Acquired is represented competitively in relevant industry awards.
  • Monitor media coverage, report on PR performance, and identify opportunities to position Acquired as a payments market leader.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure consistency and excellence in all internal and external-facing content, upholding Acquired’s brand and quality standards.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support content production and distribution.

Analysis & Optimisation

  • Analyse content and PR performance across channels and recommend data-driven improvements for content and campaigns.

Success Metrics

  • Growth in organic website traffic and improvements in SEO/AEO rankings.
  • Strong content engagement levels (click-through rates, time on page, social shares, etc.).
  • Volume and quality of content-attributed marketing qualified leads (MQLs) or influenced sales pipeline.
  • Increases in brand awareness metrics (e.g., direct website traffic, branded search volume).
  • Media coverage quantity, quality, and sentiment, as well as effectiveness and outcomes of PR and award submission activities.

About You

  • Proven experience managing PR agencies or external communications partners, including successful award submissions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in brand management, content strategy, and content creation - ideally within the payments, fintech, or SaaS sector.
  • Skilled in building and scaling content for the full funnel, from awareness to conversion.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts for various audiences.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and highly organised, with a strong sense of accountability for results.
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable working with performance metrics, media reporting, and cross-functional partners.
