Brand & Creative Designer (6-month FTC)

FirstBank UK is a globally recognised, top-tier bank who provide world-class services to various institutions and individuals. Offering a comprehensive range of retail and corporate financial services/products, this thriving business with over 10 million active customers in over 700 business locations is the oldest African bank in the UK. Due to business requirements & growth, we are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced Brand & Creative Designer to support the delivery of engaging & compliant creative communications across the business.

Please note that this role is a 6-month fixed-term-contract.

Please note that this is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Design & Asset Development

  • Design and produce high-quality creative assets across digital, print and internal communication channels.
  • Create campaign materials including advertisements, social media graphics, email banners, brochures, flyers, reports, infographics and event collateral.
  • Design executive presentations, board materials and stakeholder communications.

Brand Governance & Standardisation

  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of FirstBank UK's visual identity standards.
  • Develop, maintain and update branded templates, toolkits and design assets.
  • Lead the rollout of approved templates across PowerPoint, Word, Canva and other communication platforms.
  • Deliver guidance and training to employees on brand standards and best practice.

  • Manage and maintain the Bank's design template environment and template library. Including but not limited to repositories on Canva, Adobe Indesign, Brand Quantum (brand standardisation platform)
  • Create easy-to-use branded assets and templates for wider business use.
  • Support implementation of design governance processes across Canva and other creative platforms.

Video & Multimedia Content

  • Produce and edit engaging video content for internal and external audiences.
  • Develop content for LinkedIn, Instagram, intranet, employee engagement campaigns and corporate events.
  • Create motion graphics, animations and multimedia assets where appropriate.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with teams across the Bank to understand communication requirements and translate briefs into compelling creative solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, photographers, videographers and creative suppliers as required.

Creative Operations

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously within agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain version control and governance of creative assets.
  • Support budget management and help reduce external design spend through in-house delivery.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in an in-house creative, agency or corporate communications environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand, digital and print design capability.
  • Strong skills in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Canva and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience creating branded templates and design systems.
  • Previous video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Clipchamp or equivalent tools.
  • Previous experience within Banking/Financial Services or another regulated environment is desirable, however not essential.
  • Strong understanding & experience of brand compliance.
  • Experience of motion graphics/animation experience, Adobe After Effects & photography/videography would be highly advantageous.
