Brand Director Role

This Brand Director role leads a fast-growing FMCG business in the ready-to-drink (RTD) and health and wellness sector. The position requires a proven commercial marketing leader with deep expertise in the UK retail market, plus a strong background driving cross-functional success across brand marketing, product innovation, and commercial success.

Role Overview

  • Job Title: Brand Director
  • Contract Length: 12 Month FTC (Starting in Sept 26') with potential to extend / go perm
  • Industry: FMCG (RTD, Health & Wellness)
  • Location: South East of the UK (c.3 days in the office / 2 WFH)
  • Salary: - c. 140k base plus package

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Identity: Define, pitch, and execute the overarching UK identity and competitive positioning.
  • Commercial Pipeline: Guide an innovative product roadmap from creative concept to physical shelf launch.
  • Retail Growth: Design the overarching category blueprint to accelerate market share and footprint.
  • Executive Partnerships: Lead high-level joint business planning and top-to-top negotiations with major UK supermarkets.
  • Supply Chain Alignment: Coordinate directly with external co-packers and internal venture teams to ensure flawless delivery.
  • People Leadership: Direct a small team in driving the key activities needed.

Candidate Requirements

  • Brand Architecture: Master class capability in establishing market entry strategies (this is an absolute prerequisite).
  • NPD & Co-Manufacturing: Practical background launching innovative beverage formats, specifically dry mixes and liquid goods, from factory to floor.
  • Grocer Credibility: Strong commercial presence with the ability to win trust and influence buying teams at the highest executive levels.
  • Digital & E-Commerce: Strategic awareness of Direct-to-Consumer and marketplace platforms, supported by specialized talent.

You’ll have a strong brand marketing & innovation background from a leading, global FMCG environment, having worked to Director level already. Experience of the RTD / Health & Wellness / Nutrition space would be a distinct advantage.

This role requires candidates to be available to start work in September.
