Beyond delivery, we build success through tailored menus, staff training, and exceptional service. We are hiring a passionate, commercial Brand Manager to drive market-leading campaigns. Job Specifics
- Contract: Permanent | 37.5 hours per week
- Grade: Grade 6
- Reporting To: On Trade Marketing Manager
- Location: Watford (Hybrid)
- Head Office is a 15-minute walk from Watford Junction (20 minutes from London Euston).
- Travel: Required across the UK to support the team and attend key customer and supplier events.
The Role
This is a unique, dual-faceted role bridging the gap between brand strategy and commercial execution. You will split your time between managing priority wine suppliers and executing trade marketing programs that empower our sales teams and support the growth of these priority wine suppliers. To thrive, you must be a master multi-tasker who can confidently navigate a fast-paced environment, drive distribution growth, and build lasting brand loyalty. You will be working closely with the Regional Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers as well as suppliers, the buying team and agency brand managers.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Brand Management (approx. 70%)
The role demands exceptional commercial and interpersonal skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of wine and brand management. We’re looking for someone who enjoys the commercial challenges of positioning products with the right customers through storytelling, education, events, and trade marketing programs.
- Priority Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with priority suppliers, ensuring internal alignment. Develop and execute strategic brand plans aligned with supplier expectations, sales mix, and market insights. By maintaining a continuous feedback loop with our sales team, you will analyse what’s working on the ground, pivot activities dynamically, and unlock future brand support. Ownership of ASM & RSM - Supplier interactions & account support implementation.
- Other Supplier Partnerships: Collaborate with value-add suppliers to design, execute, and track the ROI of co-funded marketing activations.
- Brand Activation & Strategy: Partner with the On-Trade Marketing Manager and Commercial Buyer to launch new producers and products, influencing internal commercial strategy to ensure product success.
- Training & Enablement: Facilitate monthly supplier-led training sessions to keep internal teams educated and inspired. Maintain high standards of content hygiene across all collateral.
- Events & Market Presence: Support the On-Trade Marketing Manager with event management, executing bespoke trade events.
- Supplier Days in Trade: Ownership of organising impactful Days in Trade for suppliers with the sales team.
- Incentives: Negotiate, launch and assist with redemption of key supplier incentives.

Trade Marketing & Activation (approx. 30%)
- On-Trade Activation: Develop impactful POS materials, menus, and monthly Trade Marketing Sales Toolkit.
- Campaigns & Digital: Assist the On-Trade Marketing Manager with campaigns to acquire and retain accounts. Support our digital footprint by planning our customer emails with our Content and CRM teams.
- Events & Tastings: Support logistics for trade shows, regional tastings, and internal events.
About You
You are a creative storyteller with a commercial mindset. You understand that great marketing doesn't just look good - it drives sales. The role requires a high level of drive and organisation and would benefit from a strong sales-minded approach.
- Experience: Ideally 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in a brand marketing role (ideally experience in FMCG, drinks industry, hospitality). WSET or Equivalent Wine Qualification and deep wine knowledge and genuine passion for the category required. Qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field (desirable).
- Skills: Strong copywriting skills, basic graphic design familiarity (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite), sales & brand presentation decks. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable plans.
- Mindset: A creative, proactive self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and can manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. A ‘get it done’ attitude and an impeccable attention to detail. Ambitious & personable.
- Communication: Exceptional relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with sales teams, suppliers, and key internal stakeholders. Ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders.

Internal Applicant Requirements
- Tenure: Applicants must have a minimum of 12 months of continuous service with the business.
- Peak Notice (Retail Staff): If selected from a retail role, your official start date in this position will be scheduled after Peak trading finishes.
- Line Manager Endorsement: Required prior to application
