Role: Brand Manager-Doncaster

Salary: £36400 starting salary
Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday

Position Overview:

Elevation Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for one of the UK’s largest distributors. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be supporting the marketing activity for the portfolio of the clients’ own brands and retailer activity focusing on: picture portal, focus on guides, core range guides, category learnings. Ensuring marketing activity and investment contribute to the commercial success of all own Brands – from internal communications, and trade marketing (depot activation, internal publications, events) to consumer activity (digital, press, etc.) Helping own brands to continue to grow, driving awareness and engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Marketing in developing the own brand strategy, and lead the development and communication of the supporting communications plan to increase awareness and sales, updating activity based on performance.
  • Work with trading and RDM teams to ensure own brand plans match agreed commercial objectives.
  • Liaison with members to ensure marketing plan is delivered, taking feedback for development.
  • Manage the brand – supporting promotional activity, range development, marketing communication, and campaigns both printed and digital.
  • Analyse and track brand performance using consumer and shopper research data (Nielsen, Kantar, EPOS) to identify growth opportunities that drive penetration, distribution and trial.
  • Build brand manuals and ensure compliance across the marketing mix, updating proposition as market demands (tastes, competition, etc).
  • Manage relevant creative, design, artwork, packaging, print and digital agencies to deliver the plan.
  • Plan, monitor and report on the own brand marketing budget, ensuring spend is controlled, appropriately approved and delivers value against agreed objectives.

  • Marketing ability – experience of managing complex communication channels
  • Digital communications
  • Creative appreciation and ability to discuss creative ideas and identify improvements

Background Knowledge/Experience:

  • 5 years’ Experience of driving growth through communication and engagement
  • Own brand experience is essential
  • Experience of developing collateral to brand guidelines
  • Excellent insight and understanding of working with mixed audiences to deliver targeted marketing campaigns
  • Creative communications (appreciation and understanding)
  • Experience of managing product design, artwork, labelling and packaging, including working with relevant stakeholders and suppliers to maintain brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
