Brand Manager – Growth

Department: Commercial

Reports to: Commercial Director

Primary focus: Growth Brands

Salary band: £45,000 - £50,000 (plus bonus, plus private medical)

Role Purpose

Owns a portfolio of Growth brands end-to-end, acting as the single Go10 point of contact for each brand and driving profitable growth towards Scale. Accountable for commercial performance, forecasting, stock, supplier relationships, NPD, promotions and cross-functional delivery, working closely with NAMs who own retailer relationships and Sales Operations who support execution.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Brand Ownership

  • Own the commercial plan, supplier relationship and performance of allocated brands.
  • Deliver revenue and net GP targets.
  • Identify and act on key growth opportunities, risks and priorities.
  • Maintain strong market, category and competitor awareness.

360° Brand Accountability

  • Maintain a complete commercial view of each allocated brand, including sales, margin, stock health, returns, forecasts, POs/inbounds, back orders, funding, claims and growth opportunities.
  • Proactively liaise with Finance, Purchasing, Operations, Sales Operations, Compliance and NAMs to understand issues affecting brand performance.
  • Act as the central point of knowledge and accountability for the brand within Go10, ensuring material issues are understood, owned and progressed.

  • Own the consolidated brand forecast, incorporating retailer input from NAMs.
  • Monitor stock cover, aged stock, availability, inbound POs and supplier lead times.
  • Identify working-capital and supply risks early and recommend corrective action.

Growth, NPD & Promotions

  • Develop and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key brand partners and relevant retailers, using them to align growth targets, range expansion, promotional activity, investment and NPD priorities as brands progress towards Scale.
  • Own the trade marketing plan for allocated brands, including promotional calendars, retailer activation, launch activity and supplier investment, working with NAMs on retailer opportunities and Sales Operations on execution.
  • Build and deliver annual and rolling growth plans.
  • Lead NPD, range development and launch planning.
  • Own brand-side promotional strategy and supplier funding, working with NAMs on retailer execution.
  • Ensure stock availability and commercial support are confirmed before activity is agreed.
  • Maintain visibility of rebates, SOAs, claims and other material brand funding.

Content & Cross-Functional Delivery

  • Gatekeep product information, imagery, copy and assets before passing approved materials to Sales Operations.
  • Coordinate with NAMs, Sales Operations, Purchasing, Operations, Finance and Compliance to deliver the brand plan.
  • Ensure internal teams have the information required to execute effectively.

Role Boundaries

  • The Brand Manager owns the brand; the National Account Manager owns the retailer.
  • The BM owns supplier relationships, brand strategy, consolidated forecasting and brand-side commercial decisions. NAMs own retailer relationships and retailer-side negotiations. Sales Operations executes approved activity.

KPIs

  • Progression of Growth brands towards Scale (£5m+), against agreed commercial and capability gates.
  • Revenue and net GP growth.
  • Forecast accuracy and stock health.
  • Working-capital performance.
  • NPD and launch execution.
  • Promotional performance and funding recovery.
  • Distribution growth with NAMs.
  • Delivery of brand growth plans and progression towards Scale.
  • JBP delivery and progress against agreed commercial actions.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial instincts; confident supplier management; commercially numerate across margin, forecasting and stock; organised and accountable; strong communication and influencing skills; able to manage multiple priorities and challenge suppliers or internal teams when required.
