Job Title: Brand Manager – Carlsberg

Location: Hybrid – with weekly travel expected to our head office in Hemel Hempstead, customer visits and agency meetings in London

Job Length: Permanent – Full Time

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, poppi, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

About the role:

We are now recruiting for a Brand Manager – Carlsberg. As one of our most iconic and strategically important brands, Carlsberg is entering an exciting new phase of growth. We're investing behind innovation, elevating our design credentials and brought back the legendary If Carlsberg Did... platform and building distinctive experiences that will drive the brand forward.

As Brand Manager, you'll help define what's next. You'll lead innovation from idea to launch, influence how Carlsberg shows up across every consumer touchpoint, and translate bold ambitions into plans that deliver results.

You'll play a key role in activating some of the biggest football moments of the decade through our UEFA National Team Football partnership, including the Nations League Finals 2027, UEFA EURO 2028 and UEFA Women's EURO 2029.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Senior Brand Manager to develop and deliver Carlsberg's innovation pipeline, taking ideas from concept through to an effective launch.
  • Manage cross-functional projects through the stage-gate process, collaborating with Insights, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial and global teams to unlock growth opportunities.
  • Build compelling business cases and recommendations that deliver strong consumer, commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Translate brand strategy into impactful activation plans, delivering standout campaigns across on-trade and off-trade channels.
  • Create activity that balances short-term commercial performance with long-term brand equity growth.
  • Identify opportunities to make Carlsberg culturally relevant, creating memorable experiences that increase fame, engagement and consideration.
  • Support the activation of Carlsberg's UEFA National Team Football partnership, leveraging major tournaments, sponsorships and football moments.
  • Work closely with agency and partnership teams to deliver high-quality campaigns on time, on budget and to the highest standards.
  • Build productive relationships across the business, working with stakeholders and bringing teams together behind growth-focused brand plans.
  • Manage A&P budgets, track performance and use insights to optimise activity, support growth and deliver commercial, brand and innovation targets.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Brand Management experience within FMCG, having delivered growth in complex, matrix organisations.
  • Extensive innovation and NPD experience, overseeing product launches through a structured stage-gate process.
  • Ability to translate brand strategy into impactful activation plans that improve both brand equity and commercial performance.
  • Capable of coordinating multiple initiatives in parallel, collaborating with agency partners and cross-functional teams to produce effective execution.
  • Shown the ability to manage stakeholders effectively, with confidence in working with senior leaders and developing trusted relationships across the business.
  • Commercially minded and methodical, able to turn consumer, customer and market insights into action and measurable results.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bring ideas to life and inspire others.
  • Experience working on major consumer brands within beer, beverages or another high-volume FMCG environment.
  • Exposure to sponsorship, partnership or experiential marketing activations.
  • A curious, engaged mindset, with an interest in sport, culture and creating brands that stay relevant and connect with people.
