Marvel FMCG Exclusive Partnership with AB World Foods
Brand Manager - Blue Dragon “New Spaces”
Marvel FMCG are exclusively partnered with AB World Foods on their search for a Brand Manager to lead Blue Dragon’s “New Spaces” in the Korean and Condiments portfolios across Europe, with your feet firmly planted in the Swedish market.
You’ll build it, not babysit it
This isn’t a role where you inherit a finished plan and keep the lights on.
New Spaces is exactly that. Space.
Korean and Condiments across Europe, with Sweden as your launchpad into the Nordics and beyond. You’ll shape the strategy and see it through, working hand in hand with their long-standing distributor partner to make it actually land on shelf.
You’ll sit in a small, tight European brand team, so there’s nowhere to hide and plenty of room to move. From new products to distributor engagement, you’ll get to flex every brand-building muscle you’ve got.
Start-up freedom. Global FMCG backing. Not many roles give you both. This one does.
The brand behind you
Blue Dragon has been about exploration since 1977. Japanese ramen, stir fry, Thai green curry and a whole world of Asian flavour made effortless for people at home.
And it’s not a quiet brand:
- The UK’s No.1 Pan-Asian brand, with 13 Great Taste Awards to its name.
- Double-digit growth, with 32% of UK households already buying one of its products.
- Energetic, adventurous, and reassuringly reliable — the brand that makes vibrant Pan-Asian food culture easy to explore and create at home.
Now here’s the fun part. New Spaces takes all that trust and points it at a fresh territory in markets where the brand is still writing its first chapter. You’re not maintaining a legacy. You’re helping start one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who you’d actually be joining
AB World Foods is the business behind some of the UK’s most-loved world food brands — Patak’s, Blue Dragon, Tabasco, Levi Roots, Al’Fez and Capsicana. A business that’s genuinely Brand Proud and Consumer Driven, on a mission to inspire people to explore the incredible flavours of the world.
And they’re not doing it alone. AB World Foods is part of Associated British Foods, an international group with the scale, investment and long-term stability to back ambitious plans across Europe, the Nordics, US, Australia and Canada.
So you get the pace and energy of a brand-led food business, with real backing behind you.
What great looks like here
- You build brands properly — penetration, the full mix, the lot and you know how to bring one to life.
- You’re commercially effective. You know your way around a P&L, spot the opportunity and make the numbers work hard.
- You put the consumer first, but you balance it with what’s right for the retailer and the business too.
- You lead through others. With a distributor model, that’s how the work gets done.
- You collaborate with style. Internal teams, external partners and you bring people with you.
- You thrive on ownership and keep raising the bar, especially when the space is ambiguous and undefined.
If that sounds like you on a good day, you’re probably closer than you think.

How this actually works
Here’s the process, so you can see what’s coming:
Stage 1
- A conversation with Sabina Lees, Senior Brand Manager leading Blue Dragon Europe. This is about your experience, your skills and just as importantly, what you want to know about the business. Let your personality show. You’ll also complete an OPQ before Stage 2.
Stage 2
- You’ll meet Katherine Jeffery (Brand Controller, Europe), Sabina again and a member of the HR team. We’ll dig into your marketing and behavioural strengths and you’ll get a case study to prepare in advance so you can get a real feel for the work.
