Location: Remote (with quarterly team meetups in London)
Team: HQ / Marketing Team
Type: Full-time
Summary:
At Minerva’s Virtual Academy (MVA), we are redefining what school means for young people aged 11–18. As the UK’s fastest-growing independent online school, we combine live lessons, mentoring and community to deliver a flexible and future-focused education.
The Brand Manager will own and shape the Minerva Virtual Academy (MVA) brand as we grow into an established school on a global scale. You will set the brand strategy, then roll up your sleeves to bring it to life — capturing content, creating it and running the campaigns that put MVA in front of families around the world.
This is a role for someone who can helicopter: rise up to see the whole picture, then drop down into the detail of a shoot, a script or a campaign brief — and back again, often in the same day. Reporting directly into our CMO, you will work with the wider marketing leadership team, specifically within digital, PR, founder content and admissions to support brand building and student recruitment.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy
- Set the brand strategy. Define MVA's positioning, promise and personality, and a multi-year plan to grow brand awareness, trust and preference in our priority markets.
- Know our families. Lead research into parents and students across regions — what they want from a school, what holds them back from online education and what would make MVA their first choice.
- Shift perception. Build the narrative that repositions online schooling from fallback to first choice, backed by proof: outcomes, teacher quality, student stories and third-party recognition.
- Own the brand system. Keep the visual identity, tone of voice and messaging framework clear, current and used well by every team and partner.
- Build reputation. Grow the partnerships, awards, press, alumni and parent advocacy that make an established school feel established.
- Measure what matters. Track brand health — awareness, consideration, sentiment, share of voice and referral — and report on how brand is driving enquiries and enrolments.
Campaigns and content
- Capture the school in action. Plan and film or photograph lessons, events, student achievements and teacher stories — often remotely, working with families and staff across time zones.
- Create content. Write, edit and produce short-form video, social posts, articles, case studies, email and web copy that shows what an MVA education really looks like.
- Build and run campaigns. Take campaigns from idea to launch — brief, creative, channel plan, budget and results — for enrolment seasons, open events, new markets and brand awareness.
- Grow our channels. Own the brand's presence on social media, CRM, website and physical events with a steady calendar of content that builds trust over time.
- Turn families into advocates. Find and tell the stories of students, parents and alumni, and build programmes that make recommending MVA easy.
- Brief and manage partners. Work with freelancers, agencies and creators, and give colleagues the templates and guidance to create on-brand content themselves.
- Learn and improve. Test, measure and refine content and campaigns, sharing what works with the wider marketing and admissions teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
