The Opportunity
Lead the strategic development, positioning, and growth of the Veterinary Nutrition portfolio across companion animal channels. Drive brand performance through the creation and execution of evidence-based marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, veterinary needs, and customer expectations. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Technical Services, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and CAP Marketing to maximize brand value and market impact.
Role Responsibility
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
Brand management
- Develop and execute annual brand strategies and marketing plans for the Veterinary Nutrition portfolio.
- Ensure clear brand positioning and value propositions for veterinary professionals, pet owners, and key stakeholders.
- Manage the full lifecycle of products, including launches, renovations, and discontinuations.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, customer insights, and emerging scientific developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Act as the brand guardian, ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, and customer experience across all channels.
- Build and maintain long-term brand equity and customer loyalty.
- Manage product positioning and segmentation to optimize portfolio performance.
Content creation
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns across digital, professional, field, and trade channels.
- Create and manage promotional materials, technical brochures, sales tools, website content, social media campaigns, and product training materials.
- Ensure all content reflects brand strategy and complies with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with creative agencies and external vendors to deliver high-quality assets.
- Support localization and adaptation of global content for regional markets where applicable.

Customer Engagement
- Work closely with Sales teams to develop customer-focused promotional activities and tools.
- Support key account initiatives and distributor engagement programs.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to continuously improve brand performance.
- Participate in field visits to better understand customer needs and market dynamics.
- Foster strong relationships with veterinary professionals and industry stakeholders.
Business Performance & Analytics
- Develop and monitor brand KPIs, including sales growth, market share, customer engagement, awareness, and profitability.
- Analyze campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
- Deliver regular business reviews and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Prepare forecasts and support annual business planning processes.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Influence and align cross-functional teams around brand objectives.
- Lead project teams and coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Support the development of marketing best practices and capability building.
- Promote a collaborative and customer-centric culture.
The Candidate

- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business.
- Excellent strategic marketing and brand management skills.

- Ability to translate scientific information into compelling marketing messages.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Budget management experience.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong stakeholder management and networking abilities.
- Proven experience in Brand Management, Product Management, or Marketing within Animal Health, Veterinary Nutrition, Human Nutrition, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, or FMCG.
- Experience managing product portfolios and marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and market segmentation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth through strategic marketing initiatives.
- Experience working within a cross-functional and matrix organization.

- This role is based remotely in the UK.
