Brand Manager

We're recruiting for a Brand Manager to develop and implement brand plans for Sogrape's brands, while managing inventory, product information and performance reporting.

What will you be doing?

Deliver the annual brand plans for Sogrape concept and estate brands in the UK, to achieve annual volume and distribution goals, within agreed A&P budget including:

  • Develop and implement local sales incentives and programming activities, including brand building when suitable
  • Management of UK-based consumer and trade PR/media, social media, and digital in conjunction with appropriate agencies
  • Managing and hosting tastings, events, training and trips in conjunction with the Sogrape Iberian Estates Development Manager
  • Create sales materials to support customer objectives
  • Manage relevant and engaging internal communications to the Sales Team
  • Effective liaison with generic bodies (e.g. Wines of Portugal)
  • Effectively manage the stock Sogrape wines in the UK, including transition to new vintages, allocation management, product launch and managing any issues
  • Ensure all information for Sogrape wines (pricing, technical, viticultural and vinification) is accurate and appropriately reflected in Liberty Wines communications (price list, fact sheets, website, etc.)
  • Act as the operational point of contact for Sogrape brands in the UK/Ireland
  • Produce monthly reporting to support colleagues and the brand owner
  • Manage brand A&P expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Support the Head of Sogrape brands in the identification of market opportunities and present the plan to address them (e.g., portfolio, packaging, activations, sponsorships, etc) to the brand owners
  • On an ad hoc basis, assist the Head of Sogrape brands with other non-priority Sogrape Estates (e.g. Finca Flichman, Chateau Los Boldos)

About you

  • Minimum three years’ experience in the UK wine industry working with both on and off-trade customers and with producers.
  • A clear and effective written communicator, relationship builder and presenter. Able to work professionally with people of different cultures, backgrounds and personalities.
  • Pro-active and positive mindset with a willingness to get stuck in
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Numerate and commercially aware–able to interpret and act upon data
  • Strong wine knowledge required (ideally WSET level 3+ qualified)
  • Good IT skills, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Portuguese language skills an advantage
