Brand Manager
A commercially focused Brand Manager role with real ownership, pace and opportunity to drive growth.
The Advocate Group are supporting a fast-paced FMCG Food & Beverage business with a growing portfolio and multiple routes to market, where brand and commercial performance go hand in hand.
You’ll be planning and executing brand plans and across a portfolio of established and growing brands, working closely with Sales, Category and wider commercial teams to identify opportunities, deliver growth and bring new products to market.

The role
- Own and deliver annual brand plans and longer-term growth strategies, aligned to commercial objectives.
- Drive brand performance across multiple routes to market and channels, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Use market, consumer, competitor and commercial data to shape decisions and recommendations.
- Lead NPD projects from concept through to launch, including pricing, positioning, launch and growth plans.
- Evaluate promotions and marketing activity, measuring performance, ROI and commercial impact.
- Monitor distribution, market share, brand awareness and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and risks.
- Work closely with Sales, Export and Global Category teams to translate brand strategy into commercial execution.
- Manage budgets, forecasting and margin opportunities against agreed targets.
- Coordinate agencies, consumer research and wider marketing activity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
