About UDX FRANCHISE, PRODUCTS & PARTNERSHIPS

Universal Destination & Experiences’ Franchise, Products & Partnerships team (UDX FPP) extends NBCUniversal’s iconic brands, characters and stories through global consumer products and games, theme park merchandise and retail, in addition to the UDX enterprise function of franchise management and strategic partnerships.

Supporting NBCUniversal’s owned portfolio of properties as well as third-party partners across the theme park business, UDX FPP creates products, experiences and partnerships that deepen fandom and connects audiences around the world with the characters, stories and worlds that define Universal.

Job Description

Programme Eligibility

To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • You’re currently an undergraduate studying at University and returning to full-time education in Autumn 2028.
  • You’re looking to gain work experience after completing your A-Levels, an equivalent course or an Apprenticeship.

Additionally, you must also:

  • Be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 5th July 2027 – Friday 21st July 2028.
  • Be able to work in NBCUniversal's Central London office on-site four days per week.

What will I be doing?

An exciting opportunity to join the UK team within Universal Franchise Products & Partnerships (FPP) team. FPP is the consumer products division within the wider Universal Destinations & Experiences business. As part of the UK & Ireland team, you will gain hands-on experience working across our Fashion & Lifestyle and Food, Beauty & Care businesses, supporting some of the world's most recognised entertainment brands and collaborating with leading licensees, retailers and brand partners.

In this role, you will support the teams across a broad range of activities, including:

  • Sales and market analysis
  • Identify and research prospective brand partners
  • Create compelling presentation and business updates
  • Licensing contract administration
  • Organising industry events and attending trade shows/industry events

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new product ranges, brand collaborations and strategic partnerships.

In addition, you will work closely with colleagues across the wider category and retail teams, providing support on a variety of projects, business initiatives and day-to-day activities, giving you exposure to multiple areas of the licensing and brand extension business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain broad commercial experience in a fast-paced, creative and collaborative environment.

What will I learn from this opportunity?

By the end of the internship, you will have developed a broad range of transferable commercial, analytical and communication skills that can be applied across many industries. You will gain first-hand experience of how a global entertainment company operates and how iconic brands are extended into product categories including Fashion & Lifestyle, Food, Beauty & Care.

You will strengthen your communication and presentation skills, learning how to create compelling presentations, tell a story with data and confidently present ideas to both internal stakeholders and external partners. You will become highly proficient in business tools such as Excel and PowerPoint and/or Keynote, developing your ability to analyse data, identify trends and turn insights into recommendations.

You will also gain experience in researching markets, evaluating new business opportunities, identifying prospective brand partners and supporting the development of strategic pitches and proposals (both virtually and in person). Through this exposure, you will build commercial awareness and develop an understanding of how partnerships are created, negotiated and brought to life.

Working across multiple teams and projects, you will enhance your project management, organisation and stakeholder management skills, learning how to prioritise effectively and collaborate in a fast-paced environment. You will develop confidence in building professional relationships and working with colleagues, licensees, retailers and brand partners.
