Scindo is building the next generation of enzyme-powered chemistry, leveraging AI-powered enzyme discovery and design to change how skincare actives are made. Our biocatalysts enable the direct conversion of natural, renewable or upcycled materials into the bioactive ingredients that skincare brands rely on, through synthesis routes that reduce energy consumption, minimise waste and remove the dependence on fossil feedstocks. Our mission is to give brands access to proven actives with a cleaner profile, a transparent origin and a supply chain they can stand behind, so that efficacy and sustainability no longer have to be traded against each other.
The role
We are looking for someone who knows the independent and small to mid-sized skincare brand world inside out and can open doors at founder and product-development level. You will bring brands to the table, help tell our story and kick off exciting collaborations.

What you will do
- Map the independent and mid-sized skincare brands, contract manufacturers and formulation houses that are relevant to our first active, and prioritise them.
- Secure warm introductions and first meetings at the right level within those organisations, drawing on your existing network.
- Present Scindo's story, and shape how that story is told to different audiences within a brand.
- Understand the route to market for each target, including where formulation and purchasing decisions actually sit, so that early interest converts into evaluation agreements.
- Build and maintain a structured pipeline, and report clearly on where each relationship stands.
- Lead the commercial conversation once material is available for sampling, and structure the first evaluation and supply partnerships.
What we are looking for
- You have several years of experience in cosmetics or personal-care ingredients, gained on the supplier, distributor, contract-formulation or brand side, and you have reached a level at which you own relationships rather than support them.
- You have a strong network among independent and small / mid-sized skincare brands in the UK and Europe, at founder, product-development or formulation level.
- You have been involved in placing a new active ingredient into brand formulations before, and you understand the timeline, the stability and compatibility work involved, and the claims and regulatory constraints that apply to actives in the UK and EU.
- You have a good technical understanding of different skincare actives.
- You are energetic, self-directed and comfortable operating in a start-up environment where the role is evolving.
