Freelance Brand Strategist Position
This is a freelance Brand Strategist position needed for 2 - 3 weeks.
About the Role
Our client is an award-winning integrated independent agency that operates at the intersection of culture, talent and partnerships.
Working with leading brands across Sports, Food & Beverage, Luxury, Lifestyle, Activewear and Leisurewear, we are looking for a Brand Strategist to turn sharp insights, audience behaviour and brand business challenges into compelling brand strategies. This is a fast-paced freelance position for someone who has experience working with multi-disciplinary teams on global comms and PR strategy, as well as senior brand stakeholders to achieve brand meaning, behaviour and relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the global comms strategy and narrative across a range of clients within the Sports, Food & Beverage, Luxury, Lifestyle, Activewear and Leisurewear space, defining the core story, positioning and messaging hierarchy, creating a clear narrative that flexes across markets and audiences
- Establish the global earned comms approach and media strategy and principles for building cultural relevance and conversation
- Work with internal teams to turn research, data and cultural trends into clear human insights that create unmissable opportunities
- Write strategic compelling narratives and briefs that give Creative teams clear direction, equally challenging briefs and conventional thinking where there is opportunity to make the work stronger
- Provide guidance for your clients across content, social and influencer activity that ladder into the wider brand strategy

We’re Looking For:
- A solid Brand Strategist with experience within a comms, advertising, PR or marketing agency on a range of related client brands
- Strong understanding of how brands are built and the global comms needed to reach target audiences and make work unmissable
- An understanding of earned media, PR, influencers, social and content
- A curious collaborator, eager to drive the client’s business forwards and produce outstanding agency work
- Confidence presenting in different environments, great storytelling capabilities with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
- Keen attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills, an organised individual with great project management experience
