Full-Time Position (40 hours) - £26,436.80 per annum plus service charge
Shifts are based around the Brasserie's hours (6:00 AM – 10:30 PM).
Your country home away from home, nestled within 12 acres of picturesque Hertfordshire countryside. Sopwell House is a luxurious, family-owned Georgian country house hotel offering timeless elegance and modern comfort. We’re proud to be a place where exceptional service is delivered with warmth, pride and purpose. We’re currently looking for a passionate Bartender to join our dedicated Brasserie & Conservatory Bar team.
Your role in our family:
- Deliver exceptional, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
- Craft and serve high-quality drinks, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar at all times.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests on beverages.
- Uphold Sopwell House’s standards of luxury and hospitality.
- Work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
- Help create a warm, welcoming, and memorable atmosphere.
- Take pride in presentation and attention to detail in every aspect of your role.
- Support your colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Be available for evening and weekend shifts as required.

What would make you the perfect fit?
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage service, ideally in hospitality or a luxury setting
- Strong barista and bartending skills — essential for this role
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Confident, professional, and personable with great communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
