About The Role

What if your native ear for spoken Brazilian Portuguese could directly shape how AI understands one of the world's most widely spoken languages? We're looking for detail-oriented transcriptionists — including London's large and growing Brazilian community — to produce accurate, high-quality transcriptions of spoken audio that teach AI systems how real people actually communicate.

This is hands-on, meaningful work that goes far beyond simple dictation. You'll navigate real-world audio featuring crosstalk, multiple speakers, filled pauses, background noise, and the full richness of natural Brazilian Portuguese conversation. Your precision and consistency are what make this role essential.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just native-level Brazilian Portuguese, strong listening skills, and a commitment to following detailed guidelines.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Listen to spoken audio recordings in Brazilian Portuguese and produce accurate, detailed transcriptions
  • Handle challenging audio scenarios including overlapping speakers, background noise, filled pauses (e.g., "é...", "tipo..."), and informal speech
  • Identify and differentiate between multiple speakers within a single recording
  • Follow detailed style and formatting guidelines with precision and consistency
  • Apply transcription conventions for non-verbal sounds, inaudible segments, and other annotation markers
  • Maintain quality and accuracy standards across high volumes of audio content
  • Flag ambiguous or problematic audio segments with clear, structured notes
  • Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
