Key Tasks
- Run a caseload of pre- and post-litigation breach of agreement cases on behalf of tenants
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Landlord & Tenant Act, CPR Part 8 procedure
- Draft Applications for breach of agreement and specific performance
- Draft Part 8 proceedings for breach of agreement
- Review surveyor’s reports – Claimant and Defendant
- Negotiation and settlement
- General damages review
- Liaise with Counsel
- Prepare Court Bundles and Brief to Counsel
- Familiar with access and decant issues
- Use claims management software competently and effectively, ensuring that business process and policy is adhered to
- Communicate effectively with clients
- Liaise with and build positive and professional relationships across the business
- Carry out other duties, as and when required, to assist in the smooth running of the business
