Reports to: Service Control Supervisor

Hours/Shift pattern: Sat, Sun & Mon = 7am to 7pm & Tues = 7am to 1.30pm (39.75hrs a week)

Are you highly organised, customer-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? At Terberg DTS, we're looking for a Breakdown Controller / Administrator to play a vital role in keeping our service operation running smoothly.

You'll be the key link between customers, engineers, and service teams, ensuring breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance requests are managed efficiently from start to finish. If you enjoy problem-solving, coordinating resources, and delivering exceptional customer service, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Receiving and logging breakdown, repair, and maintenance requests from customers.
  • Coordinating and dispatching Field Service Engineers to meet customer needs.
  • Monitoring engineer schedules and reallocating resources as priorities change.
  • Keeping customers informed with regular progress updates.
  • Managing day-to-day enquiries from customers and internal teams.
  • Ensuring all jobs, updates, and service records are accurately maintained within company systems.
  • Reviewing engineer documentation and ensuring completed service records are processed correctly.
  • Supporting the technical and administration teams with service-related activities.
  • Providing job status updates and supporting evidence for customers when required.
  • Covering regional controller responsibilities during periods of absence.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the business to deliver the highest levels of customer service.

What You'll Bring

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a service, scheduling, planning, logistics, or engineering environment.
  • Previous experience coordinating mobile engineers or field-based teams.
  • Knowledge of breakdown, maintenance, or service operations.
  • Experience using scheduling or service management systems.
