Job Details Title: Breakfast & After School Club Playworker Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour (plus holiday pay) Contract Type: Term Time Only – Starting September 2026 Start Date: September 2026


About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, caring, and reliable Playworker to support children through a range of engaging activities in a safe and inclusive After-School Club and Breakfast Club setting.

As a Playworker, you will:

  • Deliver structured, fun, and creative activities (multi-sports, arts & crafts, games).
  • Foster a supportive, energetic, and family-friendly environment.
  • Work within a term-time-only contract with flexible but engaging hours.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver structured play sessions (sports, arts & crafts, multi-sports, interactive games).
  • Ensure safe arrival, engagement, and departure processes for children.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies at all times.
  • Conduct sign-in/sign-out procedures implicitly.
  • Provide hygienic refreshments for children.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining play areas and equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation (accident forms, incident records).
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and staff.
  • Boosters positive behaviour and encouragement among children.
