At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we're looking for an enthusiastic Activity Leader / Playworker to join our Breakfast & After School Club team and help create unforgettable experiences for children aged 4–11.

From football and team games to arts & crafts, creative challenges, and structured play, you'll bring energy, laughter, and excitement to every session.

πŸ•’ Working Hours

Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
Breakfast Club: 07:30 – 08:45
After School Club: 15:00 – 18:00

Total contracted hours: 21 hours 15 minutes per week

This is a split-shift role, giving you a break during the middle of the day for family commitments, studying, hobbies, or personal time.

There may also be opportunities to increase your hours during school holidays through our Holiday Club provision.

🌈 What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities including multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued
  • Supervise children with care, enthusiasm, and positivity
  • Set up engaging activity areas and ensure equipment is safe and ready to use
  • Prepare snacks and support smooth sign-in and sign-out procedures
  • Encourage children's confidence, creativity, and teamwork
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality childcare

We're looking for someone who:

  • Loves working with children and brings a positive, can-do attitude
  • Is creative and enjoys making every session fun and engaging
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic, and a great team player
  • Can confidently support activities and manage groups of children
  • Wants to make a positive impact on children's lives

Experience is welcomed but not essential. We'd love to hear from candidates with backgrounds in:

  • Childcare
  • Playwork
  • Teaching Assistant roles
  • Sports Coaching
  • Youth Work
  • Education
  • Activity Leadership
  • Drama, Dance, or Performing Arts

This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

Successful applicants will be required to:

Qualifications

Entry level - childcare or sports coaching experience beneficial but not essential if you can demonstrate a real passion for working with children
