Salary £25,614 - £26,016 (FTE)

Actual Salary £11,165 - £11,340

18.75 Hours per week / 44.85 weeks paid per year

The Trustees are seeking to appoint a Breakfast & After School Club Assistant at Haughton St Giles CE Primary Academy. Haughton St Giles is a warm, welcoming and community minded school situated in a small village on the outskirts of West Staffordshire. As a church school, we are proud of our links to our community and believe passionately in providing the best possible outcomes for our children and staff.

As a Breakfast & After School Club Assistant, you will work under the supervision of the Headteacher and will be responsible for providing safe and stimulating wrap around care to pupils attending the school.

The ideal person will have the following skills/experience:

  • Hold a NVQ Level 2 in Childcare & Education or equivalent;
  • Have basic knowledge of first aid – ideally paediatric;
  • Experience of working with groups of children aged 4-11 years;
  • A good understanding of child development and the learning process, in particular barriers to learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively alongside other members of staff;
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the working environment;
