The Role
Are you an enthusiastic, reliable, and morning-loving culinary professional? We are currently looking for a passionate Breakfast Chef to lead our morning service. In this role, you will set the tone for our guests' day, crafting fresh, vibrant breakfast dishes and delivering prompt, high-quality service during the crucial early hours. If you thrive in a fast-paced morning environment, possess exceptional prep discipline, and have a positive attitude, you'll fit right in with our vibrant team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Setting the Morning Stage: Arriving early to set up your section meticulously, prepping fresh breakfast items, egg stations, and hot/cold buffets to set the tone for a flawless morning service.
- Crafting Experiences: Cook, plate, and serve premium-standard breakfast and brunch dishes—from cooked-to-order classics to contemporary morning specialties—celebrating seasonal and local Cornish ingredients.
- Maintaining Excellence: Ensuring all kitchen and preparation areas are kept immaculately clean and hygienic, adhering strictly to morning food safety schedules, temperature logs, and high culinary standards.
- Team Synergy: Supporting the wider brigade during the breakfast rush, coordinating seamlessly with front-of-house staff for timely service, and assisting with handover for lunch preparation.

What We Are Looking For
- Previous Experience: Prior experience working as a Commis Chef, Demi Chef de Partie, or Breakfast Chef with a strong foundation in professional kitchen operations and high-volume morning service.
- Culinary Knowledge: Excellent short-order cooking skills (mastery of egg cookery, hot breakfast stations, and baked goods), strong technical knife skills, and knowledge of local provenance.
- Early Riser Mindset: Excellent communication skills, strong time management, and the ability to maintain high energy, focus, and poise during fast-paced breakfast services.
- Contract & Flexibility: This is a permanent, full-time contract working 40 hours per week. Shifts will primarily be early mornings, including weekends and bank holidays.
