We're looking for a Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast dishes with consistency, care and attention to detail
  • Setting up your section each morning, ensuring everything is ready for a smooth and organised service
  • Delivering efficient service while maintaining exceptional food quality during busy breakfast periods
  • Preparing fresh ingredients and ensuring stock is organised for the day ahead
  • Working closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure a seamless transition between breakfast and later services
  • Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Supporting colleagues across the kitchen and contributing to a positive team environment

What we're looking for

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy early starts, take pride in producing consistently high-quality food and understand the importance of setting the standard from the very beginning of the day.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef or in a similar kitchen role
  • A genuine passion for cooking with fresh, quality ingredients
  • A calm, organised approach and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prepare for service independently
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen best practice
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to support the wider kitchen team
  • Pride in delivering every dish to a consistently high standard

The Seafood Restaurant was the first restaurant opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975. The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. In the centre of the restaurant is a Seafood Bar where guests can enjoy watching chefs assembling platters of oysters, langoustines and sashimi.
