Hours of work: 5 per week.
Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata.

We are a small, friendly rural primary school just outside Uckfield, with wonderful children who are full of enthusiasm and a dedicated team of staff who are passionate about helping every child thrive.
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast Club Coordinator to join our school and become part of the wider Bluebell Federation team.
Our Breakfast Club provides children with a happy, welcoming and positive start to their school day. We are looking for someone who will enjoy getting to know our children and families and who can create a calm, safe and fun environment where children can eat breakfast, play, socialise and prepare for the day ahead.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Breakfast Club and will:
- Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
- Ensure that individual children's needs are understood and supported.
- Provide safe, high-quality and engaging play opportunities and activities.
- Encourage children to learn, develop friendships and build confidence through play.
- Prepare and organise activities and resources for the club.
- Promote positive behaviour and respond appropriately to any concerns or incidents.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and school staff.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with families, sharing relevant information where appropriate.
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, hygiene and supervision are maintained at all times.
- Follow the school's procedures relating to allergies, medical needs and dietary requirements.
- Respond appropriately to illness or injury and administer first aid where required; full training will be provided.
- Ensure equipment and resources are safe, appropriate and well maintained.
- Follow all relevant school policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with the Head of School and wider school team to ensure Breakfast Club continues to meet the needs of our children and families.

We are looking for someone who:
- Is caring, positive and genuinely enjoys working with children.
- Is reliable, organised and able to use their own initiative.
- Has good judgement and a calm, practical approach.
- Can confidently take responsibility for the smooth running of the club.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and providing a safe environment for children.
- Can communicate effectively with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Will bring enthusiasm, ideas and energy to the role.
Experience of working with children would be an advantage, but just as importantly, we are looking for someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and commitment to our children.
