Breakfast & Daytime Chef
Location: North Cotswolds (OX15 5BB)
Salary: £29,000-£32,000 per annum
Hours: 40-45 hours per week (rota-based). Part-time hours may also be considered.
Shifts: Daytime hours only (early breakfast start, daytime finish). Evenings are not a regular requirement. Weekend working required.
Our client is a destination in the North Cotswolds with a strong reputation for golf, food, and overnight accommodation. Following significant investment, the business now includes a restaurant and bar, hotel accommodation, and an award-worthy golf course.
Their aim is to deliver a high-quality dining experience that is open to everyone, from hotel guests and visiting golfers to the local community and beyond. They are committed to supporting their employees, creating a positive work-life balance, and delivering exceptional experiences for guests.
The Role
To be a vital support in the smooth running of the kitchen, working alongside the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and wider team. You will help deliver high-quality, locally sourced dishes with a focus on breakfast service and bar menu offerings, in line with the business values of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, demanding kitchen environment and take pride in delivering consistent, first-class food while sharing knowledge of local and homegrown produce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an excellent food experience with a focus on breakfast and bar menu service
- Understand menu items and ensure dishes are consistently produced to a high standard
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Assist with preparation and input into menu development where required
- Understand dietary requirements and ensure food is delivered accordingly
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety at all times
- Take responsibility for health & safety compliance and reporting concerns
- Step up confidently when required to support kitchen leadership
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth service
- Champion local, seasonal, and homegrown produce (Ecology Island concept)
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Be flexible to work shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Contribute to sustainability and environmental awareness in daily operations

What We're Looking For
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen (Rosette-level experience preferred)
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy breakfast service
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Good spoken English
- Excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving ability and calm approach under pressure
- High attention to detail and plate presentation
- Right to work in the UK
- Physical fitness for long periods on your feet
- Passion for food and hospitality
