Band 6 Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist – Permanent

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our highly regarded Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist Team at The Parapet, King Edward VII Hospital, as a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This is a rewarding role at the heart of breast cancer care, supporting patients from the point of investigation and diagnosis, through treatment, and onwards to the Supported Self-Management Pathway. You will play an active role within the multidisciplinary team, providing expert support to patients across both outpatient and inpatient settings.

As part of this varied and fulfilling position, you will:

  • support patients undergoing investigation for breast cancer, throughout diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care
  • provide specialist nursing care and guidance to patients before and after surgery
  • run nurse-led clinics, including prosthesis clinics
  • work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive compassionate, seamless, high-quality care
  • help patients to self-manage effectively and live well with and beyond cancer treatment

We are seeking applications from nurses who are passionate about delivering excellent, patient-centred breast cancer care. You may already have experience in oncology, SACT, palliative care, or a related field, or you may be a highly motivated nurse keen to develop specialist knowledge in breast cancer care.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
